High-current models available from 2022 – the G5 family of technologically advanced DC power supplies is getting larger.

2000+ amps from a 54 kW DC power supply unit with 80 VDC nominal voltage. Impressive autoranging factor of 3. Bidirectional and sink versions regenerative.

REGATRON's precisely engineered G5 power supplies are available so far with nominal voltages of 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 3000 VDC. Starting from the middle of the year 2022, the different G5 series will also be available with the nominal voltages 60, 80, 160, 240, and 320 VDC. See table below.

Thanks to the high autoranging factor of 3, the new G5 high-current power supplies are also well suited for 12, 24 and 48 VDC applications. The graph below shows selected operating points using the example of a G5 power supply with an output power of 54 kW and a nominal voltage of 80 VDC.

The new G5 high-current power supplies will be available in both unidirectional (source or sink) and bidirectional versions. The sink mode is always regenerative. Not only is it possible to (automatically) reconfigure a master-slave system between parallel, series, and mixed operation, but also to expand the system with additional power supply units or to split it into smaller units. Therefore, the purchase of a REGATRON G5 power supply is a solid investment for the future.
