REGATRON’s bidirectional G5.DT series is the best choice for electric drivetrain component testing. Learn more about the benefits.
Developing and testing the powertrain and its components plays a key role in the design of hybrid and electric vehicles. Test systems for electric drive components or even for the complete drivetrain must offer a wide range of functions, exceptional dynamics and comprehensive safety features. In many cases, an easy integration of the test systems into an existing control platform is a prerequisite. Frequently changing test conditions require a high degree of flexibility in terms of power, voltage and current. In addition, workplace safety regulations require the ability to quickly and easily bring a running system to a safe state in case of an emergency.
REGATRON's G5.DT Drivetrain Tester Series is designed specifically for testing powertrain components or the complete drivetrain. It is regenerative bidirectional and fully meets the above mentioned laboratory and test bench requirements.
The newly developed G5.DT series is characterized by a targeted combination of application-relevant features and thus offers a ready-to-use solution: Exceptional voltage control dynamics, connection to all customer-specific communication and safety interfaces, availability of all relevant safety features and an impressive space-saving power density.
Thanks to the high resolution and accuracy as well as the wide current-voltage range, REGATRON'S versatile G5.DT test solution is suitable for higher voltages as well as for 48 VDC applications. Fast switching technology provides extraordinary system dynamics and astonishing voltage control down to the lowest voltages.
The integrated CAN multi-protocol (CANmp) interface has a 1 kHz data rate, a 16-bit resolution and is adaptable to any proprietary CAN bus. Further important features are safety circuits up to level PL e according to EN-ISO-13849, active electronic insulation monitoring and automatic DC discharge of the load side. Individually customized turn-key cabinet solutions up to IP54 are also available.
The output of an individual G5.DT Drivetrain Test System is in the range from 0...18 kW to 0...2000+ kW, up to 1500 VDC. Higher voltages are available on request. The advantageous modularity of REGATRON power supply solutions allows the system to be easily adapted to ever changing test requirements. Not only is it possible to reconfigure between parallel, series, and mixed operation, but also to expand the system with additional power supply units or to split it into smaller units. Therefore, the purchase of a REGATRON Drive Train Tester is a solid investment for the future.
