New G5 System Solutions: Standardized multi-device Systems for the REGATRON G5 Family
Do your engineers need a mobile power supply for use at various locations? Do you want to avoid the hassle of complex mains cabling and still benefit from the advantages of a modular power system? Do you want your power source to be adapted to different requirements “at the click of a finger”? Then take a close look at the new Standardized G5 System Solutions from REGATRON!
The versatile REGATRON G5 power supply units are often used in various wiring combinations to meet the customers desired system voltage, power or current requirements. It was therefore reasonable to develop a series of standardized device combinations in addition to the individual devices.
The basic idea is to integrate from a single up to 6 units G5/54 kW devices into a common cabinet to cover the power range from 54 kW up to 324 kW and system voltages up to 3000 VDC. The standardized design has the advantage that the entire wiring on the mains side, including the main switch, is fully integrated and a sophisticated conductor design on the DC side allows the type of circuit (parallel, series or matrix) to be changed at any time to adapt the DC voltage or current range. A whole selection of useful options completes the new products.
At a Glance
- 54 kW to 162 kW units with castors, 216 kW to 324 kW on a base frame for forklifter
 - Voltage ratings from 500 to 3000 VDC
Current ratings from 108 to 1944 ADC - Emergency stop button for safety category 3, level PL (e) according to EN ISO 13849

- DC connections of multi-unit systems available with supplied contact bridges to create parallel, series, and matrix circuitry (see right picture for details)
 - Robust M8 / M10 screws for DC cable connection
 - Multiple DC connection points for higher Ampere ratings

Options
Additional to the turn-key delivery of the basic system, a number of options completes the scope of the new G5 system. These are:
- Insulation Monitoring: Adjustable warning and error levels, auto- or manual reset, front panel display and operation
 - Voltage Level Indicator: Monitors the DC voltage level and checks for residual voltages to avoid accidents
 - Safety Bus Cable: If several cabinets work together, the safety bus collects all of them maintaining PL e
 - Prepared Module Slot: A blind plate 10 U for a later ordered G5 device, dummy plug for the safety circuit, preassembled cables
 - Handles for convenient repositioning

Customisation
In addition to the Standardized G5 System Solutions, REGATRON offers a wide range of customer-specific system solutions. These go from special equipment for systems to special solutions relating to IP class and liquid cooling. REGATRON has an efficient field application engineering department that will be happy to advise you, from the planning phase through to commissioning.
